I, Andrew Montanye, of Exeter Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania being of sound mind, memory, and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

I direct that my body be decently interred in the family burying ground upon my farm, and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life. As to such estate as God has seen fir to entrust me with, I desire will and direct that the same be disposed of as follows:

First: I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied by my executor hereinafter names; as soon as conviently may be after my decease.

Second: I direct that after the payment of my just debts and funeral expense, my executor hereinafter named, shall purchase for my now deceased wife and myself a suitable monument and erect or cause the same to be erected, at our graves, The price of the monument not to be less than one hundred and fifty dollars.

Third: I direct that the family cemetary upon my farm, north west of my residence and on the public road leading from Exeter to Dymond Hollow, together with the land withing three feet from the outside wall now enclosing said cemetary, shall be reserved, retained, and forever used and occupied as a family burying ground or cemetary.

Fourth: As to the rest and residue of my estate it is my desire that the same be disposed of and distributed by my executor under and accordance with the Intestate laws of the state of Pennsylvania. I do hereby constitute and appoint Solomon W. Weiss my sole executor of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I, Andrew Montanye, the testator, have to this my will written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this 25 day of July A.D. One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight.
