In the name of God I Ezra Reynolds of
Benton township county of Luzerne state of Pennsylvania being sick and weak in
body but sound and disposing mind and memory do make and declare this to be my
last will and testament in manner following that is to say I order that all my
Just debts funeral expenses and charges be in the first place fully paid and
satisfied and after payment thereof and any part thereof I give and bequeath to
my daughter Fidelia Manchester all of my goods, chattels, debts ready money
effects and other of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever both real and
personal I give will and bequeath the same and every part to the said
Fidelia. And it is further my will and
I do order and appoint the said Fidelia Executor of this my last will and
testament. And it further my will and I do here publish it Know all men by
these presents that I Ezra Reynolds have constituted, made and appointed and by
these presents constitute make authorize and appoint my daughter Fidelia and
empower her to sell all or any part of my Real Estate and to make deed for the
same and to be as authorative and valid in law or equity as I could make it
myself and further to collect all moneys that is or may become due me &
receive the same in her own name and Wright.
And it is further that my daughter Fidelia pay or cause to be paid into
the Treasury of the Regular Baptist Church of Benton Six dollars annually in
each and every year during her natural life for the support of Gospel Ministry
of said Church. And further I order
that she pay or cause to be paid into the treasury of the Baptist Church
Mission Society fifty dollars within two years of my death and it is further my
Will in case Walter Nelson Manchester my grandson does not attain the age of
twenty-one years then in that case and after the death of his mother Fidelia
then it is further my will that my house and lot in Scranton go into full
possession of and in fee Simple to the Board of Directors of the Baptist Home
Mission fo the Spread of the Gospel in our own land in witness whereof I the said testator Ezra Reynolds have to
this my last will and testament set my hand and Seal the 13th day of
May AD 1858.
Signed Sealed published and declared by the said testator Ezra Reynolds as his last will in the presents of us & at the request and in presents of each other have subscribed our names as witness in the presents of each other.
