Be it remembered that I, Ira Mandeville of Jackson Township Luzerne County Pennsylvania being of sound mind and memory do hereby make and declare my last will and testament as follows. First I direct all my just debts and funeral expenses to be fully paid and satisfied by my executor herein after named, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

Item I give and bequeath to my dear wife Olive Ann, all my household goods, and furniture except the clock the bed and bedding used by myself and the bed, and bedding used by my son Jasper J. I, also give and bequeath to my said wife one Cow.

Item I give and bequeath to my Maria the bed and bedding occupied by myself.

Item I give and bequeath to my son, Jasper J. The bed occupied by him.

Item Of the rest residue and remainder of my estate real and personal, I give devise and bequeath to my dear son, Samuel C. One hundred and fifty Dollars to my son, Virgil A. Three hundred Dollars to my dear son Jasper J. Two hundred Dollars to my dear daughter Delphene E. Stull Three hundred Dollars to my dear daughter Maria Wilcox Three hundred Dollars to my granddaughter Sarah A. Sherred Fifty Dollars to my granddaughter Sarah E. Connor Fifty Dollars to my dear son Orzo Two hundred and fifty Dollars, and to my dear son Ira O. Two hundred and fifty Dollars.

Item I also give and bequeath to my granddaughter Sarah E. Connor one Cow.

Item Out of the remainder, after paying the foregoing legacies and all expenses of settling up my estate, I direct a suitable tombstone be erected at my late wife's grave side and the balance of my estate if any there remains shall be divided by my executor, among my children, and grandchildren with proportion to their respective legacies herein before bequeathed There To officiate These my intentions I hereby vest in my executor herein after named full power and authority to sell, and dispose of, any or all, of my estate and property either personal, or real, at public or private sale, as full and large, a manner, as I myself could do if living. I have not named my dear wife Olive Ann as legatee or devisee this my last will, and testament (except so far as the household stuff and the cow herein before bequeathed her are conserved) not out of want of love or affection to her but because by an arrangement had between us. I have already caused the thirty six acres situate in Jackson Township to be conveyed to her, and have received from her a release of any dower or other claim which she might otherwise make, as my widow a swell in the Mortgage of One Thousand Dollars executed by Charles M. Phoenix as in any of my other estate or property personal or real and I affectionately desire that my said wife shall recognize and respect such release and shall make no claim upon any account upon my estate other than for the legacies to her expressed via former part of this instrument.

Lastly I appoint and ordain my son, Ira O. Mandeville executor of this my last will and testament. In witness where of Ira Mandeville the testator have to this my will set my hand and seal this 18th day of February Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and eighty three.

I, Ira Mandeville, the above named testator do hereby make and publish this Codicil to my last will and testament bearing date the 10 day of February A D 1883 in manner following In consequence of the habits of my son Jasper J. I hereby revoke the bequest and legacy to him in my said last will heretofore declared in the sum of Two hundred Dollars and hereby give and bequeath the said sum of Two hundred dollars and hereby give and bequeath the sum of Two hundred Dollars to my executor Ira O. Mandeville in trust to invest the same and to use the yearly interest there of for and towards the purchase of clothing for my said son Jasper J. And in case of sickness of my said son Jasper J. I authorize and empower my said executor at his discretion to use the principal or so much thereof as may be necessary for the use and benefit of my said son Jasper J.
