The Will of
ISSAC MONTANYE



Be it remembered that I, Issac Montanye, of the Township of Franklin, County of Luzerne, State of Pa. Being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding and considering the uncertainty of life do therefore make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is today.

Item: in the first place I order that all my just debts ----- expenses and charges of proving this my will be fully paid and satisfied, and whereas my son James B. Montanye and my daughter Sarah Pembleton having had this portion of my property in the use of the farm & I give and bequeath to my two daughters Hattie Lozier and Mary Schooley, All my property real mixed and personal to be divided equally between them share and share alike. I also direct that all money,I have at the time of my death be divided as soon as possible between my said daughters Hattie and Mary and all payment that may be made from my estate be paid over to them as soon as received and as to all the rest residue and reaminder of my estate, real, personal or mixed whatever nature or kind wheresoever situate at this time of my decease, I do hereby vise and bequeath.

And lastly I do make constitue and appoint Charles W. Moore of Dallas , Luzerne County, State of Penna to be executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me at this time heretofore made and declaring this to be my last will and testament.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affix my seal the 5th day of Januray in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight.

This day before me James W. Greevy Esq. Register of Wills in and for the county aforesaid personally came J. G. Leek and E. R. Leek the susbcribing witnesses to the above and foregoing Last Will amd Testament of Issac Montanye late of Franklin Township,Luzerne County, and State of Pennsylvania deceased, who being duly sworn according to law do say that they were present and saw and heard Issac Montanye the testator sign seal publish pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and that at the time of doing so was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that they did sign their names as subscribing witnesses in the presence of each other and in the presence and at the request of the said testator. And now to with 18th day of April 1888, Having considered the testimony offered in this case and filed the same of record I do hereby adjudge the foregoing writing to be duly proved as the last will and testament of Issac Montanye now deceased and as such I do enter the same of record according to law.

In conformity with the above will and probate thereof letters testamentary thereon were on the 18th day of April 1888 A.D. granted unto Charles W. Moore,Executor, he having first been duly sworn to well and truly administer the goods and chattels rights and credits of Issa Montanye deceased according to law.
