            In the name of God Amen

            I Abraham Garthwaite of Hunlock township Luzerne County and state of Pennsylvania been of sound mind and in good health with all my reasoning faculties I do hereby make this my last will and testament of my own free will.

            1st I bequeath to my wife Matilda Garthwaite one hundred Dollars and a free use of the house with all its contents for her use as long as she lives and her name is Garthwaite and also the use of the two Cows and Poultry.  I direct that my Executor shall see that the farm is worked and my Wife Matilda Garthwaite is to have one half of the proceds for her living as before stated there after my wife’s funeral expenses are all paid what is left is to be equally divided amongst my children the ones that are dead their part goes to their children to be equally divided.  I also direct that my wife must be buried decently I also appoint Almon Dodson the Executor of this will which I hope he will faithfully perform.

            In witness whereof I have this third day of January 1894 set my hand and seal.
