No. 412 of 1897

 

Know all men by these presents that I Eliza Simons of the township of Jackson County of Luzerne and State of Pennsylvania; being of good health of body and of sound disposing mind and memory; considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and to the end that I may be the better prepared to leave the world when over it shall pleas God to call me hence, do make and declare this my last will and Testament in manner following

 

First and principally I commend my Soul to God who gave it, and body to the Earth from which it was taken; and then as to my worldly effects I order that all my just debts, funeral expenses and common marble tomb stones to be erected over my grave, and expenses of proving this my last will be in the first place fully paid and satisfied; and after payment thereof and every part thereof, I give and bequeath unto my daughters that may be living at my decease; all my wearing aperal Beds and Beding share and share alike  And then as to my personal property and real estate I order that as soon as consistent after my decease be exposed to sale on the premises, due and legal notice thereof being first given, And then I order that the money arising from said sail be divided into sixteen equal shares; of which shares, I will and bequeath unto the heirs of my son Samuel Ferguson deceast one Share;

And to the heirs of Daughter Fanny Clark Deceast one share;

And to my Daughter Jane Miers two shares

And to heirs of my son Uriah Forgerson Deceast one share;

And to the heirs of my Daughter Catherine Wagner Deceast

one share;

And to my Daughter Sarah Durland two shares;

And to my Daughter Mary Delay two shares;

And to my Daughter Marilda Heller two shares;

And to my Daughter Elizabeth Johnson two shares;

And to my Daughter Almira Delong two shares;

 

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Brother Miers Elston sole Executor of this my last will and Testament.  In witness whereof I the said Testatrix have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal the eighteenth day of March In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty.

Signed, Sealed published and declared by the said Testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presents of us who in her presents and at her request and in the presents of each other have subscribed our name as witnesses thereto
