I John Linskill of Lehman Township Luzerne County State of Pennsylvania do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows viz:

First (I command my spirit into the hands of God who gave it and my body to the dust in hope of a joyful resurrection Then as to the worldly estate it has pleased Providence to intrust me with) I wish all my just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together with my funeral expenses and all charges touching the proving or otherwise concerning this my will in the first place out of my personal estate and effects be fully paid and satisfied as soon as may be practicable and from and after payment thereof and subject thereto then my will and desire is. I give devise and bequeath to my well beloved wife Mary Linskill all my estate both real and personal that I may have in my posession at the time of my death to be by her held and enjoyed during the time she shall continue to be my widow subject to the following provisions and designs my will and desire is that if my two daughters namely Betsy Linskill and Evaline B. Linskill be still single and unmarried and want a home that they may still enjoy their homes and be provided for as usual if Betsey should so leave there is several articles of Furniture which now belongs to her viz: Bed Bedspread and Bedding Bureau Stand & was Bowl & Pitcher Rocking Chair and one Cow. I name these to prevent any misunderstanding my wish and desire is that my son John C. Linskill work the place and provide for the comfort of his mother and Sisters as long as his Mother need such attention But if the said John C. Linskill refuse to do so then I hope my Executor hereinafter named will get someone else to work the farm adn make them as comfortable as their means will do it then as an inducement to the said Betsy Linskill my daughter and John C. Linskill my Son to behave well to their Mother during the time she may need their help. My will and desire is at the death of their Mother or if she was to get married I then give devise and bequeath unto the said Betsy Linskill my daughter and my son John C. Linskill the whole of my real Estate together with all the Live Stock Crops growing or gathered all the Farming Implements of every kind share and share alike and to the said Betsy all the Household Furniture and everything in the House for her own absolutely But the said Betsy and John C. Linskill must still provide a home for their sister Evaline B. Linskill if she need one and that if she be single and unmarried and further that the said Betsy and John C. Linskill must pay to the said Evaline B. Linskill the sum of four hundred dollars in four years from the death of their Mother and if the said Evaline should get Married before the death of her Mother then my will and desire is that she must have a Bed & Bedding and a Cow. The I give and bequeath to my three Son named as follows Thomas Linskill James Linskill and Charles D. Linskill the sum of five dollars each to be paid in one year from my death to my two daughters viz: Mary Ann Blain the wife of John Blain and Jane Keller the wife of George Keller I give and bequeath one Cow each to be turned out to them in one year from my death. It would be my wish if Betsy and John C. Linskill could manage to get along together and work the farm altogether But if they should choose to divide it or sell it both agreeing to do so I hope they will maintain a good feeling towards each other and if the farm must be sold at their request or Betsys alone then my wish is that is after the death of my wife that my Executor sell the farm for its fair value and the amount of said sale secured in such manner as is ususal in such cases to insure the full and punctual payment thereof and to effectuate this my Intention I do hereby vest in my Executor full power and authority to dispose of my real estate in as full and large a manner in every respect as I could myself do if living and the proceeding of said sale paid over to the said Betsy Linskill & John C. Linskill or their heirs or assigns subject to the legacies above mentioned and I do hereby make and ordain my friend Elijah C. Wadhams of Plymouth in said County and State my sole Executor of this my last will and Testament. In witness where of I John Linskill the Testator have to this my last will and Testament written on one piece of paper set my hand seal this thirtieth day of December of the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine

Signed sealed and declared by the above named John Linskill to be his last will and testament in presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names in as witnesses thereto in the pressents of the testator and in the presence of each other the day above written:
