Will of Solomon Johnson

In the name of God, Amen I Solomon Johnson of the borough of Wilkesbarre County of Luzerne Commonwealth of Pennsylvania being sick and weak in body but Sound Mind Memory and Understanding, Do make & publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit:

1st…It is my will and I do order and direct that my property both real and personal of which I am possessed be disposed of as follows

2nd  To my brother John Johnson I give all property now in his hands and all demands against him,

3rd  To my brother John Johnson I give my soldier Rights.

4th  To my sister Jerusha Lewis, I give my chest at Woodbury and all my part of mothers estate.

5th  To my sister Mary Finney I give all demands against Abjah  Herman or his heirs.

6th  to my worthy friend Elisha Crane or his heirs all my property in Albany.

7th To the township of Bedford in the county of Luzerne and state of Pennsylvania, three fourths of lot No. Eleven in said Bedford for public use,

8th   After full settlement of legal demands whatever of my property in Wilkesbarre may be left I give to my nephew Solomon Franklin,

And Lastly I do nominate constitute and appoint Zebulon Butler of the borough of Wilkesbarre county of Luzerne and state of Pennsylvania to be my Executor of this my will hereby revoking all other wills legacies and bequests by me heretofore made.  I declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament:  In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 3rd day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight.
